If You Can’t Reach Your Goal Try This System Instead?

Written by Jonathan

Goals are illusive. Exercise and self actualization montages in movies don’t help. They make changes and goal reaching look easy and tells us reaching a goal should only take 5 minutes or the length of a good song. These easy to follow steps below will help you make a change you can actually stick to.

Simply stated
You figure out what you want to change, make the outcome as clear as possible.
You find out the actions you need to take to make that change.
You put a system in place to do these actions everyday.

Example:
You want to lose weight
You’re going to eat an apple everyday for a snack, instead of a macadamia nut cookie.
Buy a bag of apples every time you do groceries. Pack an apple everyday for work to eat as a snack. Walk outside instead of down to the work cafeteria to eat your apple.

Why does this system work?
Apples have less calories than macadamia nut cookies.
You replace an old habit with a new better habit.
You take yourself out of the environment where you are tempted to buy the cookie, by not going to the cafeteria.
