Exercises and Stretches for Scoliosis

Written by Jonathan

Scoliosis is a lateral or c-curve that manifests itself in your spine. Usually it affects the thoracic or middle part of your spine. There are different levels of severity and you should really talk to a doctor or other health practitioner in person so they can do a proper assessment for you and give you the exact exercises and stretches that work for you. Not all cases of scoliosis can be helped with exercises but under the proper supervision you probably can’t make it worse.

When you’re doing exercises and stretches to help ‘correct’ the scoliosis curve you are trying to ‘open’ the vertebrae up by bending, stretching and moving your spine against the curve. I found a couple videos here that do a much better job of explaining it than I can through text. If this is something that affects you or you are interested in the videos are best. If you would like a program made available in our online training system or a better ‘follow along’ video than I can make that happen and will update this post and send you the video.

*Thank you to the reader that asked us to talk a bit about scoliosis, if you have any fitness questions or topics you would like addressed let us know and we would be happy to cover them.
