Rest Day

Written by Jonathan

Today was a big day, I gave a talk at the Ottawa Executive Association about how you can fit exercise into your daily life and how much is enough. The golden number is 21 minutes a day or 150 minutes a week of moderately intense exercise (slightly out of breath brisk walking).  I think almost everyone knows they should exercise they just have trouble finding the time and motivation.  The talk is way too long for this medium but I will sum it up like this. 21 minutes a day over 80 years is 613,200 minutes and it gives you approximately 2,628,000 minutes or 5 extra years on average over someone that is sedentary. Now, if you had $613,200 to invest and you could turn it into $2,628,000 at the end, would you make that investment? I think you would and you wouldn’t put it off until tomorrow either 🙂
